Whoer alternative: your IP, anonymity and browser in two checks
Whoer.net is best known for its IP check and its anonymity percentage. SpoofLens covers the same ground with two pages: My IP shows your address, network, WebRTC and the signals your browser exposes, and the browser check tells you whether those signals fit together and explains each problem it finds.
| Whoer | SpoofLens | |
|---|---|---|
| IP, provider, country | Yes | Yes, on the My IP page |
| Score | Anonymity percentage | Visibility score on My IP, truth index 0-100 on the browser check |
| Time zone vs IP | Yes, lowers the score | Yes, with an explanation |
| WebRTC leak | Yes | Yes |
| DNS leak test | Yes | Not yet |
| IP blacklist check | Yes | Yes, on request (IPv4) |
| Sells a VPN | Yes, its own VPN service | No |
| Price | Free check | Free |

What whoer shows
Whoer shows your public IP, provider and approximate location, details about your browser and system, DNS and WebRTC leak status and a blacklist check, and sums it all up as an anonymity percentage. The percentage drops when your IP, system and browser do not line up, for example a VPN in one country with a browser language and time zone from another. Whoer also offers its own VPN service.
Two answers instead of one number
A single percentage mixes two different questions. Can sites tell who you are? And does your browser look honest? SpoofLens answers them separately.
My IP is the closest to whoer: your IP address and its version, reverse DNS, network operator (ASN), country, whether the address belongs to a data center or VPN, proxy headers, time zone against the IP country, WebRTC, languages, screen, hardware, cookies, Do Not Track, ad blocker, canvas and WebGL fingerprints, and a visibility score that shows how much you stand out.
The browser check goes deeper into consistency. More than thirty rules compare what the browser says in JavaScript, in HTTP headers, in a Web Worker and in an iframe, look for replaced built-in functions and injected canvas or audio noise, and give a truth index with an explanation for every finding.
Where whoer offers more
- A DNS leak test, which SpoofLens does not have yet.
- One summary number, if that is all you need.
Privacy
My IP is served with caching disabled and does not save your address. The browser check sends the signals to our server once for the cross-check and forgets them; only the daily count of checks is kept. No account is needed.
Frequently asked questions
- Is SpoofLens free?
- Yes. My IP, the full browser check and 16 website tools are free and need no account. Paid plans for profile comparison and a website API are in preparation.
- Why does SpoofLens show another city or country?
- IP location is the location of your provider network, not of your device. Mobile operators and some home providers route traffic through other cities or countries.
- Is SpoofLens affiliated with whoer?
- No. Whoer is an independent service. This comparison is based on what it offers publicly.
