Terms of service

These terms apply to the spooflens.com website, the account, check links and the API. By using the service you agree to them. If anything is unclear, write to hello@spooflens.com.

Who provides the service

The service is provided by SpoofLens. Contact: hello@spooflens.com.

What the service includes

The browser check, the "My IP" page and the website tools are free and need no sign-up. The account lets you save checks, compare them, create check links with a consent screen and get API keys. What each plan includes is described on the pricing page.

Check results are an estimate based on browser and network signals, not proof. Decisions you make on them (for example, blocking a sign-up) are yours.

Account

One account is meant for one person or one company. You are responsible for everything that happens in your account and for keeping your access key safe. If the account was created without an email, we cannot recover the key.

Paid plans and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it takes the payment, charges the taxes, issues the invoices, answers billing questions and handles returns.

Subscriptions renew automatically every month or every year until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time in the account (Plan, "Manage subscription"); access stays until the end of the paid period. When you move between the monthly and the yearly plan or between API packages, the difference is prorated.

We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance; a new price applies from the next billing period.

Refunds

Within 14 days of any payment you can get a full refund. Details are in the refund policy: spooflens.com/en/refund.

Allowed use

• Send check links only to people who know why you ask them to check their browser. The consent screen cannot be turned off. Do not use links to find out someone's IP address or device secretly.
• Use the API to protect your own website or service against fraud, bots and abuse. Do not use it to track people or to get around other people's protection systems.
• Do not load the service beyond the limits, do not try to bypass the limits or reach other people's data, and do not resell access without an agreement with us.
• For violations we can switch off a link, an API key or an account. Unless the threat is urgent, we write to you first.

The API and your visitors' data

When you send us data about the visitors of your site through the API, you decide why it is processed, and we process it on your behalf only to return the assessment. You are responsible for telling your visitors about such a check (for example, in your privacy policy). Technical details and the API terms: spooflens.com/developers.

Availability and changes

We try to keep the service running without interruptions, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, add and remove features. If a change makes a paid plan substantially worse, you can cancel the subscription and get a prorated refund for the unused period.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months. This does not limit consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can delete the account at any time in the account settings (cancel the subscription first). After deletion, data is removed as described in the privacy policy.

Law and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights the law of your country of residence gives you. We announce material changes on this page at least 30 days in advance, and also by email to account owners with an email. If language versions differ, the English one prevails.
